Candied pineapple, custard, raisin. The cacao in this bar comes from rainforest farms in southern and central Belize. There the Maya Mountain Cacao company collaborates with local growers to produce cacao of exceptional flavor, sustainability, and positive economic impact at origin. It's cacao sourcing at its finest, and I am a proud supporter.
Chocolate pudding, malt, peanut butter. Ghana is one of the world's most important cacao-producing countries, harvesting about 15% of the global crop. Its trees are a hardy variety whose beans make stunningly bold chocolate. The cacao in this bar is exclusively from Rainforest Alliance-certified farms.
Chocolate milk, coconut, cantaloupe. Porcelana is an extremely rare cacao varietal, famous for its mellow, complex flavors and strikingly pale coloration. Low levels of a dark, bitter pigment present in cacao explain both traits. This bar features ancient Porcelana found by producer Cacao Marquez near the caves of Sorotaima in northwestern Venezuela.
