| Maker Comments | Zingerman's el Rústico chocolate bar is the most exciting new chocolate bar we've eaten in years! Inspired by the traditional foodways of the vanilla-growing regions of Mexico, we put in bits of vanilla bean to complement the earthy notes of Askinosie's exceptional Soconusco Mexican cacao. The currant-sized vanilla bean morsels add a heady aroma and delicate texture to the bar. In tribute to traditional Mexican-style chocolate, we've done no conching and very little refining, so the bar's texture is coarser and more rustic than most; take a small bite and enjoy the sugar crystals as they crunch lightly on your tongue. It all adds up to a truly uniquely flavored and textured chocolate bar. |
