| Maker Comments | We discovered this rare cacao that grows along the slopes of Colombia's Sierra Nevada coastal mountain range. The cacao is a mix of cultivated and wild-grown, harvested by settlers and the Arhuaco indigenous people. On a day-long journey, cacao is collected in jute sacks on the backs of mules. The chocolate has a distinct auburn color, bright fruity flavors of apricot, caramel and a delicate nuttiness with a long finish. |
