Bought Tallinn 2009, good taste for the price, it costs only like 50-60 cents here I think, less than 1€ anyway. Not too bitter as dark chocolate could be, nor too sweet like milk chocolate. Minus is that a bar could be bigger (then maybe more expensive of course) and it is not easy to find on store. Maybe because not the most popular brand, difficult to compete with Kalev and Fazer there. 8.8/10. :)

This is pretty good stuff AND it so cheap - I get it at Dollarama - $1cnd for two 100 gm bars. It has the same list of ingredients of a similar bar that sells for $6cnd at Whole Foods!

Just tried one of these from Dollarama, they sell at .50 cents each, 2 for $1, for 100 grams. Its not that bad tasting, I think I would have to compare it directly to another bar. Its good enough.

If I can limit myself to eating 1/4 of a bar, I will buy more. Otherwise, the large size of the bar, and the cheap price is NOT a good thing, says my chubby stomach which I am trying to shrink.

Some of that other chocolate from Dollarama is inedible. Even a squirrel won't eat it.

I too buy Baron Dark Chocolate bars at Dollarama. Your bars ''are'' comparable to $5 AND $6 bars from anywhere else. In this day and age of overpricing and all the rest, my, is'nt it Great to see REAL'' VALUE BACK AGAIN.

In your "nutrition facts" description, you translated "6 pieces" of chocolat for : "6 tasse".
The problem is that a TASSE in french means a CUP in english.
Too bad, because it would be so fun that 6 cups of chocolat would contain only 203 calories...
Your chocolat is very good, I can't pass a day without eating some.

Yes,it's great value.
However,some folk may be put off by the fact that no country of manufacture is printed on the package. There is address info.which seems to be in Polish but many people will suspect this product is Chinese because so much dollar store stuff is from China and most of us do not trust Chinese food not to be tainted with impurities. To me at least,Polish origin is a very strong plus for any food or beverage!

This company is definitely Polish. They have an english version of their website which details exactly where their product is made and to what standards, so nobody should be concerned about food impurities.

Personally, I love Baron chocolate, both kinds, which I also get at Dollarama. It's better than most of the commercial brands that you see in stores, and at 2 for $1, it may be the last good deal in the country.

man, I eat about 5 of these every week, from Dollarama, where they often sell-out! Keep that stock coming!

Tip: You can put a little pure peanut butter on some of the squares, very nice.

And its made in Poland, it says so on the wrapper. Its fresh too, expiry date 9 months from purchase date.

Regretfully, the 100g Baron dark chocolate bars (45% cocao), at 2 for 1$, are no longer available at my local Dollarama stores (Montreal), although the 70% is (still one for a $). The staff do not know if they will receive more of the 45% cacao bars in the future. Does anyone know of any other outlets/websites where they can be purchased, and at what price? Thank you.

Cacao was first brought to the Philippines in the 17th century by the Spanish mariner Pedro Bravo de Lagunas. The first crop was planted int he province of Batangas, but soon spread throughout the rest of the country. Our cacao is produced by the San Isidro cooperative project, whose efforts have successfully improved the quality of life for their co-op members. The 71% Filipinas chocolate has a slightly nutty and fruity flavor with hints of vanilla.
