The cocoa at the Hacienda El Castillo is the Don Homero -- Cerecita. The Don Homero refers to the variety of the cocoa used in the plantation, and Cerecita means the region where the Hacienda is located: both determining factors in the unique flavor and aroma of our cocoa. The Don Homero is of Trinitarian origin, and the Cerecita valley is located west of the city of Guayaquil, on the way to the coastal beaches.

The Hacienda El Castillo is located in the Cerecita Valley, west of Guayaquil, where a unique climate offers the perfect conditions to harvest the cacao bean. Also, the variety of the flora in the area enriches the taste and quality of our cacao known as Don Komero--Cerecita. Furthermore, what makes our chocolate truly special is our capacity to control the entire production process from the seed to the bar. And above all, we are passionate about cocoa and chocolate, putting all our hearts in our products. Enjoy!
