 Swing And Circle

Definition:

From double pass thru or one quarter tag formation: Lead couples or centers swing thru. Outside dancers quarter left. The six outside people move ahead one position (to take the place of the dancers ahead). Center two in the wave hold position. (This is a Swing and Circle One Quarter.) On a Swing and Circle One Half, do this routine again. On a Swing and Circle Three Quarters, do it a third time. Four times thru is a regular (or full) Swing and Circle. (There is only one swing thru done--the 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 calls indicate whether the outside six move ahead one, two or three positions).

Holman Hudspeth 1969
