 California Twirl (Frontier Whirl)

Definition:

(The name "Frontier Whirl" was suggested by Bruce Johnson, Santa Barbara, CA about 1957) From regular partner formation: Partners change places with one another and both reverse facing directions. With inside hands held high like an arch, the man walks forward around to his right to face out in the lady's vacated spot. The lady walks forward under the arch to her left to face out in the man's vacated spot. Inside hand holds are retained throughout.
