 Spin Chain And (Any) Gears

Definition:
 

From parallel waves: All Turn 1/2; centers Turn 3/4 as ends Turn Back; very centers Trade; all Star 3/4; very centers Trade then Swing (arm turn) with other center; all take the anything command; e.g.:

...Unwrap The Gears: all follow trailing points ahead to form a column.

...Release The Gears: all follow trailing points ahead; Face In to facing lines.

...Cut The Gears: each side Cut the Diamond.

...Spread The Gears: on each side centers Diamond Circulate as points slide together.
