Definition:
 

Version #1 (Tom Tarleton - 1967). Same as Chain The Line.

Version #2 (Ed Fraidenburg - 1971). From parallel waves: Arm turn 3/4 then Fan Chain Thru (call directionally).

 Fan And Cross Thru 

Definition:
 

From facing couples: Do a Fan Thru and then half sashay (as in the finish of Crosstrail Thru). Finishes with couples back to back. NOTE: Also called Cross Fan Thru.

Ends in Back-to-Back Couples.

Comments and Examples:

Fan Thru is choreographically equivalent to Reverse Swap Around.
