From facing lines: Centers box the gnat with opposite and back away. Ends Star Thru. Finishes in a squared set.

 Criss Cross Swing 

Definition:
 

From a wave: Swing half and then Crosstrail. Finishes with couples back to back.

COMMENT: Call directionally as Turn Thru and Crosstrail.

 Cross The Barge 

Definition:
 

From facing lines: Square Thru then those facing out start a Cross Cloverleaf but Star Thru with the one met. Those facing in do another Square Thru. Finishes in eight chain thru formation.

COMMENT: Usable move but contradicts the usual meaning of Barge (those facing out Partner Trade and those facing in Pass Thru).

From couples facing: Curlicue, then Single Hinge and Fan the Top. Finishes in a wave (exact equivalent to Spin the Top).

From Hourglass formation: Centers arm turn 3/4 as lonesome corners U-turn back and arm turn the center 3/4. Finishes in parallel waves.

From a wave: All step thru and U-turn back. Finishes with couples facing.

 Four Ends Swing Across 

Definition:
 

All four ends arm turn adjacent dancer about half to make a four hand left hand star in the center and star across to arm turn the diagonally opposite person in the other wave about half to re-form parallel waves. NOTE: The ends facing in will hesitate to allow the ends facing out (who have to turn farther) to take their places in the left hand star.

 Grand Veer Thru 

Definition:
 

From eight chain thru formation: Couples pass by each other by first Veering left and then Veering right (to end in Trade By formation). Those facing out now do a Wheel Around as the couples in the center pass by each other by first Veering Right (to a two faced line) and then Veering left (into eight chain thru formation). Repeat all the above once more to finish in original set up. Finishes in eight chain thru formation.

 Hinge The Relay 

Definition:
 

From eight chain thru formation or parallel waves: All Swing Thru. Ends U-turn back and Couples Hinge. Center couples Hinge as the two end couples Circulate to form a line of eight. In each half of the line do a couples Trade, then center couples Hinge as end couples Circulate to form a line of eight. Each pair of end couples does a Couples Hinge to form two parallel two faced lines. The centers of each line Trade and ends U-turn back then all arm turn half. Finishes in waves (original set up).

 Hourglass Circulate 

Definition:
 

From Hourglass formation: All eight move forward to assume the position and facing direction of the dancer ahead. Finishes in Hourglass formation.

Definition:
 

From eight chain thru or double pass thru formation: From eight chain thru, do a Two Ladies Chain, but the centers courtesy turn only halfway to finish in double pass thru formation. From double pass thru formation, the center two ladies chain but courtesy turn only halfway to finish in eight chain thru formation.

From eight chain thru formation: Do a Centers In then cast off 3/4. Those facing out take one step forward, turn to face each other and Star Thru as those facing in Pass Thru. Finishes in eight chain thru or completed double pass thru formation.

Version #1

From facing couples or a wave: Spin the Top then Turn Thru. Finishes with couples back to back. (Mac Parker 1965)

COMMENT: Call directionally.

Version #2

From facing couples: Step in to a wave and arm turn 3/4 and pull by. Those facing pull by with a left. Finishes with couples back to back (like a lead to the left). (Ed Fraidenburg 1967)

COMMENT: Same move as Swing And Cross.

 Split The Chain Thru 

Definition:
 

From eight chain thru formation: All pull by with a right, centers only pull by with a left then all Cloverleaf. Finishes in double pass thru formation.

 Square Off 

Definition:
 

From double pass thru formation: Center four will Square Thru and step out of the center. Trailing couples will now Square Thru to stand behind the others. Finishes in completed double pass thru formation. Same rule for Half Square Off. On 3/4 Square Off, do the Square Thru 3/4 then Pass Thru so the new centers can do the 3/4 Square Thru.

Definition:
 

From facing lines: Ends Pass Thru and Quarter In. Centers Pass Thru, separate and go around one. Finishes in facing lines.

Definition:
 

From a wave: All arm turn 3/4. Original ends now Run around the center and then do a "Sweep a Quarter" movement (in the direction of the Run). Finishes as facing couples. NOTE: An equivalent for Flutter Wheel.

 Swing Across 

Definition:
 

From two parallel waves: Designated end (ie., No. 1 man; No. 3 lady, etc.) turns adjacent dancer about halfway (end facing out turns more than half; end facing in turns less than half) to form a diagonal wave across the center. Center of this wave does a Trade and then arm turn the one they meet about half to re-form the waves and finish on the diagonally opposite end of the other wave. Finishes in parallel waves.
