 Cross The Dice

Definition:

From a line, this is now called as "Centers Crossfold".

Bill Jordan 1962

This definition is from The Handbook of Modern Square Dancing by Jay King.

 Crossrun

Definition:

A "thinking man's" figure. Dancers who are told to Crossrun will walk forward in a small arc to the "mirror image" of the spot they would go to if told simply to Run. Inactives, as in Run, will slide into the adjacent spot vacated by the Crossrunner. From a wave, Centers crossrun would require the centers to move to the opposite end of the wave from the end they'd move to if the call had been Centers Run. From a line of four, ends crossrun would require those ends to move to the far center rather than the near center (ans pass right shoulders with the other Crossrunner on the way).

 Fold Thru

Definition:

From a line: Centers fold, then all quarter in and Pass Thru. Finishes with couples back to back.

 Pair Up

Definition:

From lines facing in or out: Centers step forward and California Twirl. Ends Quarter In, step forward and Star Thru. Finishes in double pass thru formation. NOTE: Center couples in the line must be "regular" and the ends of the line must be opposite sexes.

 Revolving Teacup Chain

Definition:

The girls perform the same actions they do in an ordinary Teacup Chain. The men, however, move left one position each time to pass one girl and arm turn the next. Men work only with partners and opposites. Continue until all are at home position. NOTE: This also went under the names: Rotary Teacup Chain and Roto-Rooter.
