Definition:
 

From a squared set: Each Beau moves to the left on the inside halfway around and does a right face U-turn back when in opposite spot. Belles move to the right outside to opposite position to meet partner in promenade position.

 Cast A Net From A Wave 

Definition:
 

From parallel waves: All circulate once and a half. Those who were facing out are now situated at right angles to the wave in the center which consists of the dancers who were facing in in the original waves. The couples on the outside will arm turn half and then spread. The end dancers in the center wave move ahead to the end of a long line. The center two in the wave turn half and walk in a loop behind the nearest outside dancer and then step in between the outside dancers next to that nearest dancer. Finishes in a line of eight with couples alternately facing.

 Cast A Shadow From Columns 

Definition:
 

From columns: Lead dancer in each column rolls back and walks by one position to arm turn the next 3/4 and spread. Trailing dancer of the lead pair follows leader and loops out and back in again to take the center wave position adjacent to dancer originally ahead of him (or her) in the column. Trailing dancer in each column steps ahead to arm turn the other trailer one quarter turn by adjacent arms and step forward to vacant center position of new parallel waves. Finishes in parallel waves.

 Cast The Top 

Definition:
 

From a wave or two faced line: Centers arm turn 3/4 as the ends Cast Back and move up a quarter. A wave finishes as a two faced line and vice versa.

Note: The call indicates fractions such as 1/6 - 2/6 - 3/6 - 4/6 - 5/6 and 6/6 (or all the way).

From parallel waves or two faced lines: Ends Circulate once and a half as centers Fan Chain Thru 3/4. Finishes in a six hand wave with lonesome two facing in circulate direction and standing at the midpoint of the wave. The six hand wave then does a Tag the Line as indicated: 1/6--the lead two (in each facing file of three) stop shoulder to shoulder. 2/6--move up until the first and second two are shoulder to shoulder. 3/6--move up until all three are shoulder to shoulder. 4/6--move up until the lead two are clear and the trailing four are shoulder to shoulder etc. until on 6/6 the files of three have passed each other completely.

 Cirfantag The Relay 

Definition:
 

From parallel waves or two faced lines: Ends Circulate once and a half as the centers Fan Chain Thru 3/4. The six hand wave now does a full Tag the Line Zig Zag Zig and the new ends Circulate once and a half as the lonesome dancers now move up to the end of the six hand wave. In this wave, six arm turn half then the center four arm turn 3/4 as the outsides move up to teh nearest wave ends. Finishes in parallel waves (whether started from waves or two faced lines).

 Climb The Wall 

Definition:
 

From parallel lines: Centers run, new centers Trade, new ends Circulate once and a half. Facing lines finish with a "split" ocean wave between couples facing out. Lines facing out finish with couples facing in and two dancers in a mini wave behind and perpendicular to them. NOTE: Can also be done from parallel waves and two faced lines.

From parallel waves, parallel two faced lines or Three and One lines: Ends facing out Zoomroll (to face out) in the other line while the other dancers Circulate once and then face out. Finishes in completed double pass thru formation.

 Eclipse 

Definition:
 

From parallel two-faced lines: Leading ends cast back and single hinge with trailing ends, then these two spread. The leading centers follow the ones beside them in a larger loop to the farther center of a new two faced line that is forming. Meanwhile, the trailing centers "do like a Tag the Line" and step into the remaining center spot of the new two faced line. Eclipse can also be done from Parallel Waves (leading ends cast back, leading centers start to loop out on own side); and from Column formation: First dancer casts back to third dancer; second dancer follows first; first and third single hinge and spread and the second dancer goes to the farthest center; The fourth dancer steps forward, does a "quarter zoom" and steps into the other center of a two-faced line.

 Fan Chain The Line 

Definition:
 

From facing lines: Step into a Tidal Wave. Centers of each four hand wave arm turn 3/4 and spread as the centers of the Tidal Wave Trade, then arm turn 3/4 with the one they meet. Finishes in parallel waves.

 Fan Chain Thru 1/3; 2/3

From parallel waves or two faced lines: Fan Chain Thru 1/3--centers arm turn 3/4. Fan Chain Thru 2/3--centers arm turn 3/4 then the centers of the wave across the center Trade.

 Fascinate The Cycle Wheel 

Definition:
 

From parallel waves: Centers arm turn 3/4. Centers in the wave across the set Trade as the four ends Circulate once and a half. The end dancer (in a Recycle position) takes partner (as in Recycle) to move in a one quarter promenade and face in as a couple. The other end circulator faces in and moves up to the centers into a two faced line which immediately does a Wheel and Deal. Finishes in double pass thru formation.

 Grand Tag And Cast Back 

Definition:
 

From any kind of eight person line or wave: Each group of four does a Tag the Line, then the center four Tag the Line. The leader of each file of two now "Cast" Back Right or Left as directed to join hands with the trailing dancer. Finishes in column formation.

 Grand Teamug Chain 

Definition:
 

Like a Grand Teacup Chain except girls make the first two stars and men make the last two. Four girls star right 3/4, boys turn them by the left and send them to the left for a right arm turn. Girls in the middle star left once and a quarter. Men turn them by the right and send them to the right for a full turn. Put the men in the middle to star right 3/4, girls turn them by the left and send the boys to the left for a right arm turn. Four boys now star left once and a quarter. Girls catch them by the right, turn by the right and send them to the right. All catch partner left and take the next call.

From parallel waves: Those designated (heads/sides) arm turn 1/4 or 3/4 as indicated to form "Phantom Circulate" formation (See Challenge Dancing's Basic Calls for Phantom Circulate). All now Phantom Circulate half to a thar. Arm turn adjacent dancer half and new centers turn the star 1/4 or 3/4 as designated to form another thar. All now turn adjacent dancer half. Finishes in a thar.

 Powerhouse 

Definition:
 

From parallel lines/waves with centers in a mini-wave: Ends Circulate 1 1/2 as centers Cast 3/4 (Acey Deucey 1 1/2); very centers Trade and all (4, 6, or 8) wave dancers face the (flagpole) center.

Powerhouse 1 Thru 8 -- The number after Powerhouse designates the number of Extends to be done by those who faced the center; e.g. Powerhouse 1 would have the very centers step to a right-hand mini-wave. As in Tag the Line a facing command can be given to the wave dancers.

Definition:
 

From parallel waves or two faced lines: Ends or centers as designated Crossrun, new ends Circulate once and a half as the new centers arm turn 3/4. Center two in the six hand wave trade, then the center diamond does a Flip The Diamond (centers diamond circulate while the points flip into the center to form a wave or two faced line) then the other center will Run and Cast (left or right) one quarter in the direction of the runner's flow. From waves, finishes in one quarter tag formation. From two faced lines, finishes with a two faced line between two two person mini waves.

 Scoot And Plenty Circulate 

Definition:
 

From a one quarter tag formation: Do a Scoot And Plenty and the ones who "Circulate" (as many positions as designated) will be the centers after they have turned their star half. They will be doing this (Box) Circulate as the outsides are doing the single file promenade one quarter around the outside to quarter in. It is the leaders in this center box who Roll Right to a Wave.

From any formation in which one dancer faces 180 degrees away from another (the other dancer may be facing the same way or the opposite way)--i.e., from double pass thru or completed double pass thru formation and from Trade By formation (these are the "ordinary" cases). Zoom can also be done from a four person box, couples back to back, column formation, parallel waves or parallel two faced lines: Lead dancers or those designated will roll back to end in trailing dancer's position (facing the same direction as at the start) while the trailing dancers step ahead or backward into the Zoomer's original spot without changing facing direction. The next call is directed at the "steppers" (e.g., Zoom And Partner Trade--it is the steppers who are expected to do the Partner Trade).
