CSDS Main window

This is the CSDS program's main menu window.

Dance allows you to call a dance from the screen, create a new dance, edit a dance, or proofread the sequences within a dance.

Getin/Getout accesses the getin and getout databases. Getin databases contain the first few calls of a sequence; Getout databases contains the last few calls of a sequence.

List accesses individual lists, levels, and the list database.

Parse accesses the parse database and the abbreviation database. The parse database is used to translate square dance terminology into lists of numbers (known as handles) that can be processed by the program. The abbreviation database is used to translate abbreviations into their corresponding expansions.

Sequence accesses sequence databases, which store square dance sequences. Under this menu, you can create new sequences, edit existing sequences, as well as print, view, import, validate, and proofread sequences.

Snapshot accesses the snapshot database, which contains before-and-after pictures of how to execute calls.

Dates accesses the dates database, which keeps track of where and when individual sequences were called. This menu option appears only if the dates database has been created. To create the dates database, select Other followed by Create dates database.

Other accesses other commands, such as the About window, changing the name of the licensed user, setting global option flags, and displaying system status.

Exit prompts for confirmation and then exits the program, returning to the operating system.
