OPENER - MIDDLE BREAK - CLOSER    Mainstream

Sides face, grand square
I'm putting my jeans on, shinin' my boots up
Flashing a smile in the mirror
The good times' a-waiting, town needs a-painting
Now that the weekend is here

Allemande and weave
Give me music and neon, soon I will be on
Top of the world feeling right

Promenade
I'm livin' for Saturday
Livin' for Saturday night

FIGURE

*** This figure does not work - dancers are out of sequence ***

The heads square thru go four hands round
All the way and dosado
Swing thru tonight, boy run right
Girl trade, ferris wheel around you go
You pass thru, swing thru and then
Swing that corner girl around and promenade
And when that six day sunset comes
I'll be out having fun

Livin' For Saturday Night Lyrics ID: 2074

Well I'm puttin' my jeans on, shining my boots up
Flashing a smile at the mirror
The good times are waiting, town needs a painting
Now that the weekend is here

Give me music and neon, soon I will be on
Top of the world feeling right
Livin' for Saturday, livin' for Saturday night

Now five long days I get no relaxation
My time ain't my own 'til I'm through
Got too much work without no recreation
But when that six day sunset comes, it's time for me, to have some fun.

So I'm puttin' my jeans on, shining my boots up
Flashing a smile at the mirror
The good times are waiting, town needs a painting
Now that the weekend is here

Give me music and neon, soon I will be on
Top of the world feeling right
I'm livin' for Saturday, livin' for Saturday night.

All week long I just do what I'm supposed to, I don't get a chance to be me
The same old grind that everyone goes through
It's time for me, to have some fun.

So I'm puttin' my jeans on, shining my boots up
Flashing a smile at the mirror.
The good times are waiting, town needs a painting
Now that the weekend is here

Give me music and neon, soon I will be on
Top of the world feeling right
I'm livin' for Saturday, livin' for Saturday night.

I'm livin' for Saturday, livin' for Saturday night.
Yes I'm livin' for Saturday, livin' for Saturday night.

Comments

The figure does not work -- dancers are out of sequence.
We have verified the cue sheet, and the vocal on the record that
this is the correct sequence. But it's wrong!!!
