Miracle Records is a division of The Walker Group and was founded in 2006 by Fred Walker (its owner/producer). Prior to establishing his own square dance recording label, Fred recorded for Chicago County and Marl-Let Records. Prior to retiring as a traveling caller at the conclusion of 2016, Fred was a full member of Callerlab and has called for almost 30 years throughout much of the Midwestern US. Although Fred and Nancy will no longer be travelling to call club dances, special dances, caller seminars and one-nighters, etc. tentative plans are to continue to produce high-quality square dance music exclusively using guest artists to perform singing calls. Through such efforts, the label hopes to continue to promote the activity. Fred and his wife Nancy reside in rural Salem, Illinois. Miracle Records was established with the intent of providing high quality, full-sound music that, to the extent possible, more accurately recreates the original version of the song. Such music is intended for use by square dance callers of varying skill sets and experience levels. In an effort to maintain the integrity of the original music, a number of the label's releases include background vocals, etc. To date, over 85 different label recordings have been made available including a number of 1950's, 1960's and 1970's pop classics and a few country titles.
