Don Brown was born February 21, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio to Harold Richard Brown and Lillian Louise Kulisek Brown. He was raised and educated in Hinckley, Ohio where he graduated from high school. He received an Associate Degree in Telecommunications from Central Texas College. He served more than 22 years in the United States Army including tours in Korea and Vietnam. During his service he received the Bronze Star Medal, Vietnam Service Medal and Silver Star among others. He retired from the Army at Fort Hood in 1986. Donald married Patricia Ann Asmus April 28, 1990 in Temple. He began calling in 1974 and was the caller for the Double R Squares in Round Rock, served as President of Texas State Callers Association and was a record producer for Circle D records. Don died Saturday, March 26, 2011.
