Ross Quast

Ross W. Quast was born Oct. 26, 1955, and passed away Oct. 26, 2011 at age 56. He leaves behind the love of his life, Loretta and parents, Ray and Joyce Quast. Ross was born in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada. The family moved to southern California in 1972. Ross graduated from El Segundo High in 1975. Ross joined AT&T in 1981 as a Communications Technician where he retired 31 years later due to illness. Also he had a successful career as a Professional Square Dance Instructor for 20 years. Ross had "Personality Plus" and was loving and caring. A cousin of his, Terry Schritt remembers him: "Ross was my first cousin. His mom and my dad were siblings. He was an only child and was married but had no children of his own. His parents were into square dancing up here in Canada when they lived in the Kamloops BC area and then when they moved to California Ross got involved and learned how to do calls. I visited back in those days and I remember going all over to large dances where he would call and teach. He had several very fancy suits made special by "Nudies" I think. He loved wine and became a collector and taster of lots of various Italian wines."
