Nelson S. Watkins, age 72 of Rowlett, TX, passed away January 27, 2011. He was born November 16, 1938, in Maplewood, OH, to Clarence L. and Goldie (Brown) Watkins. Nelson was a member and deacon of First Christian Church in Garland. He served his country in the U.S. Air Force and was employed by the IRS. A member of North Texas Square Dance Callers Association and Callerlab, Nelson had enjoyed this pastime since 1964. He was a resident of Southern California for 21 years and his hobbies included golfing and playing the mandolin.
