Wesley Minton Morris, Sr. Birth Date: February 28, 1936 Death Date: February 8, 2018 Wesley Minton Morris, Sr., 81, of St. James City, passed away Thursday, February 8, 2018. He was born February 28, 1936 in Elizabeth, NJ to Eugene Minton Morris and Alice Engisch. He graduated from Jefferson High School in 1954. He attended Rutgers University and in 1956, married Joyce H. Brons. They were married for 61 years. Mr. Morris was in the New Jersey Air National Guard for 36 years and was a national square dance caller for 50 years. He is survived by his wife, Joyce H. Morris; his children: Wesley Minton Morris, Jr. (Jill) of Princeton, NJ and June Morris Badalis (Joseph) of Yorktown, VA and his grandchildren: Joy Marie, Christina and Christopher. Mr. Morris will be laid to rest in Sarasota National Cemetery where military honors will be rendered by the United States Air Force. Memorial services will be held privately at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Fort Myers Memorial Gardens Funeral Home, 1589 Colonial Blvd., Fort Myers, FL 33907, 239-936-0555.
