Profile in Callers and Cuers

Bubba (Gordon) Mingus was born in Mobile, AL and has been living in Slidell, LA since 1984. He began calling while he was still taking class under his teacher/mentor, Tony DiGeorge in 1985. Bubba primarily calls for the southern region from Louisiana to Florida. He currently teaches a beginner class at his home club Ozone Squares in Mandeville, LA. Bubba's style of calling is much like his choice in music: high-energy, up-beat and modern. He has a full-time career as a General Manager with Sam's Club. Bubba and his wife, Cindy, love this activity and the fellowship it brings. His goal as a Caller is to "carry the torch, share this wonderful activity, and its great traditions, as did my predecessors."
