JOEL A. KADISH Nov. 11 1936-March 10 2007 Joel was born and raised in Colorado, came to California in 1961 and lived in Fremont the last 16 years. He was in the Airforce from Oct 1955-1959 and belonged to the Masonic Alameda Lodge #167 in Fremont, and the Besaro Homeowners Association. His great love was Squaredancing. He started squaredancing before Highschool and became a well known squaredance Caller and teacher for more than 50 years in Northern California. He travelled the the whole State and beyond and brought joy and pleasure to thousands of dancers with his wit and hats. He escorted many squaredance tours from the Caribbean to Australia and made the TOP TEN Callers list for Northern California for 30 consecutive years. He was the club caller for the Farmers and Farmerettes in Newark, and the Elks and Does in Alameda till July 2005.
