CSDS Hints and Suggestions

  1. Pressing Ctrl+Q usually closes the active window.

    When several CSDS windows are open, the program can quickly be closed by repeatedly pressing Ctrl+Q.
     
  2. CSDS is continually being upgraded and enhanced. Please send suggestions for future enhancements to Contact Vic.
     
  3. Use the Help Database. If you can't find your issue, try updating the Help Database via Help Database menu option 'File | Auto update from web'.
     
  4. Some questions and answers about CSDS can be found on the web at http://www.ceder.net/faqdb/view.php4?section=1.

  6. To report a bug with CSDS:

    • Please make sure you're running the latest version.
       
    • Send an E-mail to Contact Vic.
      Please use E-mail instead of SMS messages.
       
    • Be sure to completely describe the problem.
       
    • If possible please detail a series of steps that recreate the problem.
     
  7. The Choreo Database at ceder.net contains many sequences that may be downloaded into CSDS.

    From the CSDS Main Menu, select 'System | Download seq databases from web'.

    Or visit http://www.ceder.net/choreodb/csds_databases.php to manually download sequence databases.
     
  8. Make regular backups of your data!

    • Sequence databases are saved as C\:CsdsData\SEQ\.SeqMdb
       
    • The music database is C\:CsdsData\MDB\Music.MDB

    The above assumes that C:\CsdsData is your CSDS Application Data Folder.
     
  9. If you're a caller or cuer, please keep your Caller and Cuer Database profile up-to-date at http://www.ceder.net/callerdb/
     
  10. Use System | Preferences... to customize CSDS.
