注釈:
  • From an Eight Chain Thru, a common dancer mistake is to do a Chain The Square [C2]. EN: 30
  • The Courtesy Turn movement (after the Right Pull By and move along) is sometimes described as 1/4 Out; Courtesy Turn. We dislike this definition for 2 reasons: EN: 40
    1. The Belle's part is somewhat awkward because there is first a 1/4 Out (to the Right) and then Courtesy Turn (to the Left) 1/2, instead of just a smooth Courtesy Turn (1/4). EN: 50
    2. If you advance into C3, the caller may call a Left | Mirror Grand Chain Eight in which case we believe it is easier to remember to Step To A R-H Wave & then the Centers always turn the Ends. If, instead, you were to 1/4 Out, it could easily become confusing to figure out who turns who. EN: 60
  • An alternative way to think about the Step To A L-H Mini-Wave & Courtesy Turn movement is to do a Left Touch 1/4 & Leads U-Turn Back (Roll twice)EN: 70

Split Grand Chain Eight [C2]:
Those who can Right Pull By and turn 1/4 to face the inactives; all Step to a L-H Wave; Centers Courtesy Turn the Ends 1/4 to end in facing Couples (danced as Centers Left-face U-Turn Back to place R-H on adjacent End's back and Bend The Line). EN: 665

Split Grand Chain Eight:

Eight By anything [C3A] (Lee Kopman 1981):
From applicable formations (such as a 2 x 4 with the outsides facing each other). Outside 4 do your part Grand Chain Eight & Roll as Centers do the anything call (working in the Center). Ends in various formations. EN: 335
