   (author unknown)
C3A:

Language:

   view (admin)

From a R-H Mini-Wave Box, a Diamond with the Centers in a R-H Mini-Wave, or other applicable formations.

  1. Those who can Right Arm Turn 1/4 (or 3/4);
  2. those in a Line|Wave, Centers Cross Run;
  3. those in a Line|Wave, Centers Trade.

Ends in a Line or Wave.

1/4 (or 3/4) Mix is a 3-part call.

From a R-H Mini-Wave Box:

before
1/4 Mix
 after
Right Arm Turn 1/4
 after
Centers Cross Run
 after
Centers Trade
(done)
From a Diamond:

before
1/4 Mix
 after
Centers Right Arm Turn 1/4
 after
Centers Cross Run
 after
Centers Trade
(done)
From an unusual formation:

before
1/4 Mix
 after
Those who can
Right Arm Turn 1/4
 after
Centers Cross Run
 after
Centers Trade
(done)

Notes:
  • 1/4 (or 3/4) Mix always starts with the Right hand! From Parallel L-H Waves, only the Centers can do the call. In our opinion, the caller should be explicit and say Centers 1/4 (or 3/4) Mix.
  • It is generally accepted that those starting the call must be in a Mini-Wave, not facing dancers. Most callers believe it is illegal to call 1/4 (or 3/4) Mix from a setup such as a Single Eight Chain Thru.

Left 1/4 (or 3/4) Mix [C3A]: Start with the L-H instead of the R-H.

1/4 (or 3/4) Cross [C4] (Lee Kopman 1970): Those who can Right Arm Turn 1/4 (or 3/4); those in a Line|Wave Centers Cross Run. This is the same as 2/3 of a 1/4 (or 3/4) Mix.

Grand 1/4 (or 3/4) Mix [C3A]: From R-H Columns (or other applicable formations). Those who can Right Arm Turn 1/4 (or 3/4); all Grand Mix. This is a 3-part call.
