CALLERLAB, the International Association of Square Dance Callers
BMI and ASCAP

I've called for about 16 years-started dancing in 1964-studied calling for two years then in 1976 taught my first class (1 square in a friend's kitchen) after which I then taught a class of teens (about 4 squares) and started and organized a club, The Pistols & Petticoats of Picayune, Ms. The club is still dancing today and some of my students are still there also. Moved to Bay St. Louis, Ms in 1982-taught classes and started another club (The Sand-Dollar Squares)-then I had to start moving around the country on my job. In 1992 I dropped out of dancing and calling for about 15 years at which time (in February 2007) I decided to get back into the swing of things and enjoying it very much. I call for the Laurelaires in Laurel on Tuesday nights, and calling as guest caller at various clubs in South Ms. and La.
