    Add or update events
Top of page Bottom of page
Is there any way to add/insert/change upcoming events linked to a caller's name in your database?

This information can be entered in the 'More information' field, in which case it is displayed in your caller profile.

However, for larger events, it is better to add the information to the Event Database at http://www.ceder.net/eventdb/view.php?action=ftt by pressing the 'Add an Event' link.

    Adding a picture
Top of page Bottom of page
I want to add a picture to my database entry, but I'm not sure what the URL should be, since it's just a JPEG file sitting on my c: drive. Help!

A picture URL can only be added if the picture is located on a web site.

Since your picture is not on a web site, please send us a copy.
    Do one of the following:

    1. Upload the JPEG file to our site via http://www.ceder.net/upload.php
        or
    2. Send the JPEG file to me as an E-mail attachment.    Contact Vic

    Adding events
Top of page Bottom of page
Where in my caller profile do we list special upcoming events, or do we tell you and you place them there?

To add an Event, go to the Event Database and click on Add an Event.

When entering the List of Callers (or Cuers), be sure to

    1. spell the names exactly as they appear in the Caller and Cuer Database; and
    2. separate names via commas. Do not use an ampersand or the word 'and'.

The event will then automatically be listed in the appropriate Caller and Cuer Database profiles.

    Caller needed
Top of page Bottom of page
I am looking for a caller that would be closer to my area. I live in XYZ New York. Well I went to the database that I found by a google search. But there were no addresses, I was wondering if you could help narrow my search for callers closer to my area.

The Caller and Cuer Database allows for 'queries'.

There are simple queries pre-defined for you, but the particular one that you need isn't listed. So, go to the link below the simple queries called Advanced Query. Click on that and then scroll down below the simple queries that are once again listed, and fill out the advanced query form that fits what you're looking for. I'd suggest going to Restrict by LOCATION and either look for a New York caller or the USA - East region. You'll get a lot of caller names. The list will show their city and a description of the type of caller he/she is. If you find one that you think will fit and you need more detailed information about how to contact him/her, just click on their name to get contact information.

    Smiley Face
Top of page Bottom of page
What information is needed to bring the smiley face between the caller's name and their web page?

The 'Smiley Face' icon, , means that the web site contains a reciprocal link either to the Caller and Cuer Database or to our web site.

To add a reciprocal link, add the following code snippet to an HTML page on your site:

    When is information active?
Top of page Bottom of page
How long does take to become part of the database?

After submitting your information, you are immediately part of the Caller and Cuer Database. However, your entry is marked as '*** not validated ***' until we approve it.

Fill out the form at http://www.ceder.net/callerdb/new.php then click the 'Add New Record' button at the bottom of the form. Your information now resides in the database and is visible by anyone accessing the database.

Where do I get a PIN?
Top of page Bottom of page
Do you assigned a PIN number or how does one get one so that I can keep my information current?

Each caller/cuer is responsible for updating their own information.

When you initially created your profile, you were asked to supply a 4-character PIN of your choice.

If you forgot your PIN, please  Contact Debbie.

If you do not like your PIN, edit your profile, but change the PIN prior to pressing the 'Update Record' button.
