Started teaching round dancing in Redding, CA 1965. Member of Northern California Round Dance Teachers Association. Started at Betty & Bob Dean. Bob Dean is deceased since 1995. Remarried to Tom Wicksted and starting teaching again in 2008. We have our own club "Dancing Demons" but also call for the Mavericks Square Dance Club in Roseville, CA and for other clubs as requested. We teach Beginners thru Phase 3 at this time--but cue for clubs PH 2-PH 5. We host Phase 2-4 Round Dance parties as our "specialty". Also Golden Oldie parties. We believe Round Dancing is FUN and hope our dancers dance for their own enjoyment as well as improved health and happiness. We try to attract "seniors" as a specialty in order to encourage them to enjoy life more. We formerly were sponsors/instructors of the Silhouettes in Sacramento, CA. (a teenage exhibition group back in the l970s)Surprisingly they have all become older over the past 40 years and several of them have become round dance instructors here in California.
