I have been involved with square dancing since 1977, and a caller since 1981. I was very active in and around Sacramento, but due to an ankle injury 4 years ago I had to forgo from actively calling. In the fall of 2018, we moved from California to Oklahoma. My wife was diagnosed with stage 5 kidney failure, so I decided to step away (retire) from active calling and be here for my wife as she was for me during my convelesence. My future plans are to remain a member of Callerlab, changing my membership status to "retired caller". This will allow me to attend/participate in the annual convention, keeping me semi-active in the activity. I am also doing r&d to mentoring (not caller coach), giving general advice on things like music...don
