Vern started calling in the Panama Canal Zone in 1972. Previously owner/producer of Mar-Let Records. He currently records for Mountain Records. Calls for the following plus clubs: Tokay Twirlers in Lodi, Pleasanton Singles & Pairs in Dublin, Paws & Taws in Woodland, Patchwork Squares in Sacramento, Ca. Calls for the Ranchero Squares (A1-A2)in Dublin, Ca. Vern has called in 15 countries, 48 states and hosted 37 cruises. Vern has a real talent in yodeling and making dancers laugh during his routines. Vern's philosophy is "Lets dance and have fun".

Long time caller, Vern Weese passed away Monday, January 3, 2005 after being taken off life support which he was put on since December 8th. He was waiting for a lung transplant. He had a long battle with lung problems called black lung disease plus numerous other heart problems. His funeral was January 7th in San Antonio, Texas. He taught classes in the Austin, Texas area.
