From a Diamond.

Centers do your part Diamond Circulate as Points slide together & Trade (Cross Run) to end in the furthest Center position.

A normal Diamond ends in a Two-Faced Line.

From a R-H Diamond:

In this case, the points slide together
and do a Partner Trade.
From another Funny Diamond:

The original centers end on the same spot,
so they step to right hands,and the overall
ending formation is offset

Notes:

Sound effect: Those doing the slide together and trade (the original points) make a noise such as "hi-yah!" (as in a karate chop).
The Trade could be an Arm Turn 1/2, or a Partner Trade. Do not always assume an Arm Turn 1/2.

Reverse Cut The Diamond [C2]: From a Diamond. Centers Trade & Spread as Points Diamond Circulate. Ends in a Line.

Flip The Diamond [Plus]: From a Diamond. Points Phantom Run (Flip in) as Centers Diamond Circulate. Ends in a Line.

Cut The Hourglass [A2]: From an Hourglass. Outsides (Block dancers) slide together and Trade as others Hourglass Circulate. Usually ends in Parallel Lines.
