Cueing Phase II thru Phase V

Club cuer for Aces & Deuces, Palmdale, Ca; also the Mountain Squares in Frazier Park [they are dark during the winter and don't always offer round dancing,] but I am usually their cuer for dances that include RDing. I am also a substitute cuer for Glendale [CA] B'n'B's and Sierra Hillbillies in Santa Clarita, CA. I currently teach Beginners and Easy Intermediate on Wednesday nights and Intermediate to High Intermediate on Friday nights. I square dance through A-2 and will receive my 20 year plaque as a cuer/teacher from Roundalab at the 2008 convention in Wichita. My teaching slogan is "Success [in round dancing] is achieved when techniques are mastered and then forgotten." For cueing, "If you look like you're having fun, no one will watch your feet."

Began cueing 1983 in No Calif (Bay area). Moved to So Calif (Antelope Valley) in 1986;
Immediately begin cueing & teaching there while continuing to fulfill my No Calif
contracts. I've cued numerous dances from Anaheim to Barstow to Simi Valley/Thousand
Oaks to Ventura to Bakersfield as well as festivals in No & So Calif. Until I moved,
I was the alternate yr featured cuer/teacher at an annual festival in Monterey. I also
cued & taught several times at the B'n'B's Idyllwild wkend & taught two classes a wk
for 4 yrs at the San Gabriel B'n'B's. Began to have problems with my right hip in 2000
& retired from both SD & RD end of 2001. However,I had a highly successful hip
replacement in April, 2007, so returned to cueing in July & began teaching classes
again in Sept of 2007.  My husband & I are both retired [he is no longer able to
dance] but I am able teach alone & would be happy to hear from you when you need
a cuer/teacher.
