Music Management

Music Management within CSDS

Overall flow:

  1. Use Edit Music Database to add items to the music database.

    Data for music items can then be edited once the item is listed in the Music Database.

    Several fields can be populated. But at a minimum, these fields should always be populated: Title, Label, Label Number, and Genre Flags.
    • Properly setting the Label and Label Number fields allows the program to automatically link cue sheets and lyrics.
    • Setting Genre Flags allows the program to differentiate between singers and patters, and also makes it easier to search for specific items in the database.
    The more fields you set, the easier it is to filter upon and search for particular music items.

  2. To load a piece of music into the Music Player, open one of the following windows: Select an item then press the 'Load Music' button (lower right portion of window), or use the mouse to double-click on the item.
     
  3. On the Music Player use controls such as Rewind, Pause, Play, and Fade Out.
     
  4. Set preferences for music player behavior:
