Preferences - Call Execution

Next Tab

  • Activate all dancers after each line
    • When checked, all dancers are set to active status after each line of text is executed.

      For example, consider a sequence from a squared set in which the first line is Heads Right & Left Thru, and the second line is Boys Run.
      • When checked, everybody does the Boys Run;
      • When not checked, only the Heads do the Boys Run (in the center).
    • Warning: not checking this option can produce undesirable effects. For instance, from Parallel Waves with Girls in the Center... If a line of text is "girls trade" and the next line is "recycle", the program will attempt to do a "girls box recycle" because the girls are the active dancers.

  • Try center 4
    • When checked, if a call can not be executed from the current position, the program tries activating the center 4 dancers.

      For example: after a Ferris Wheel, the next call is Swing Thru.
      • When checked, Centers do the Swing Thru;
      • When not checked, a 'call not found' error occurs.
    • It is recommended that this option not be checked, as unexpected results may occur if a call is not found in the database, but the call 'Center 4 do the call' is.

  • Check for potential illegal calls
    • When checked, a message box appears if a call might be illegal.

      For instance, if you try to do a 8-dancer call with a 4-dancer concept (e.g., Rotary Swing The Fractions, or Triple Box Percolate)

  • Check for gratuitous concepts
    • When checked, a message box appears if a concept might be gratuitous. That is, the same ending result occurs whether or not the concept was used.

      For instance: Stable Walk & Dodge; Tandem Alter The Wave; Initally Cross Concentric Spin The Top.

  • Hex - Prefer Boxes
    • When checked, 2x4 formations are displayed as three 2x2 formations. When not checked, 2x4 formations may be displayed as either three 1x4 or three 2x2 formations.
