Grid - Filters

There are 3 ways to filter a grid:

  1. Find Panel

The Find Panel should be visible by default. If not, the panel can be made visible via the menu by selecting 'Grid | Customize' and making sure that 'Panels | Find' is checked.

Enter a text string in the find panel to filter the grid on that string. Each word in the string will searched for. To search for a phrase, place double quotes (") around the phrase.

The search is performed on all columns in the grid.

  2. Column Filter

Column Filters are shown immediately beneath column titles.

To make column filters visible, from the menu, select 'Grid | Customize' and make sure that 'Panels | Column Filters' is checked.

Column filters search for a text string in the corresponding column only.

  3. Filter Editor - the most versatile way

To invoke the Filter Editor, right-click on a column title and select 'Filter Editor...'.

    The Filter Editor is displayed

Each item in the filter ('And', the Plus-sign, 'Label', 'Contains', 'ch', and the x) can be clicked upon and modified.

For example, to filter column 'Genre Flags' to show all items containing 'Show tune' or 'Holiday':
