Grid - CustomizeGenre flags indicate the music genre.
Overview
Each music item may have any number of genre flags associated with it.
CSDS comes with a few intrinsic genre flags:
- Patter (Pat)
- Singer (Sng)
- Round (Rnd)
- Line (Lin)
- Sing-A-Long (A)
The default abbreviation is shown above within parentheses.
Patter, Singer, and Round genre flags affect the CSDS music player.

Up to 96 genre flags may be defined.
Genre flags may be used for any purpose.
For example: holiday music, jazz, special events, key change, gospel, broadway, exciting music, etc.
Filters within a Music Grid
(Music Database,
Music Quick List,
Music Queue,
Music History List,
etc)
allow you to only show music with specific combinations of genre flags.
Adding or editing genre flags can be done via the CSDS main menu:
- Music | Edit Database | Edit | Genre Flags...', or
- Music | Genre Flags

- New - adds a new genre flag.
- Edit - edits the selected genre flag.
- Delete - deletes the selected genre flag.
- Show Music - displays a grid showing all music items that have the selected genre flag.
- Grid - displays the Grid - Customize dialog box.
