How to - Change Level of a Call

CSDS 1.03.00 - this help page refers to a much older version of CSDS

This page explains how to change the level of one or more calls.

CALLERLAB recently moved Eight Chain Thru, Fan The Top, and Spin Chain Thru from Mainstream to Plus. This change needs to be made by you in CSDS -- it is not done automatically when you upgrade CSDS.

There are 3 steps that should be performed:

  1. The affected calls must be moved to their levels.
  2. The GETIN and GETOUT databases must be updated.
  3. Sequence databases should be searched for sequences that are no longer at the desired level.

Moving calls from one level to another

  1. From the CSDS main menu, select 'List | Change levels of calls'.

  2. A screen entitled 'Change Levels of Calls' appears.

  3. Select 'MS' (Mainstream) for the 'Level' in the left-side dropdown list.

Select 'PL' (Plus) for the 'Level' in the right-side dropdown list.

Highlight the calls to be moved in the left-side list. (hold down the Ctrl-key, use the mouse Left-button, and click on the calls to be moved).

At this point, the screen should look as follows:

  4. Click the 'Move right' button to move the calls. A confirmation dialog box will appear.

Click the 'OK' button to close the dialog box.

  5. The moved calls should now be shown in the right-side list.

If no more changes to the lists are required, click the 'Close' button.

  6. The 'Save changes to list?' dialog box appears.

Click the 'Yes' button to save the changes made to the list database.

Updating the GETIN and GETOUT databases

This procedure should be done once for the GETIN database, and once for the GETOUT database.

  1. From the CSDS main menu, select 'Getin/Getout | Validate | Verify levels'.

  2. A screen entitled 'Select Getin/Getout Database And Index Range' appears.

Select the database to process (e.g., GETIN), then click the 'OK' button.

  3. An in-progress dialog box entitled 'Verify levels' appears while the database is being updated.

  4. After the database has been updated, a results dialog box entitled 'Verify levels' is displayed.

Click the 'OK' button to close the dialog box.

Be sure to repeat this entire process for the GETOUT database.

Finding sequences that are no longer at the desired level

  1. From the CSDS main menu, select 'Sequence | Validate | Verify levels'.

  2. A dialog box entitled 'Verify levels' appears.

Click the 'OK' button to verify the levels.

A text file report is created that details those sequences needing to be edited or moved because they contain calls from a higher level.
