Sequence - Print List

The Sequence Print List specifies the sequences to be printed when the 'Print' button is pressed.

Sequences are automatically added to the sequence print list when

  1. A sequence is created; or
  2. The 'In print list' checkbox is checked while editing a sequence

The sequence print list is formatted as follows:

<SequenceDatabase1>
   <RangeTokens>
<SequenceDatabase2>
   <RangeTokens>
where
<SequenceDatabase> is the name of sequence database
and
<RangeTokens> is a list of range tokens separated by commas and or spaces.

  • A range token consists of either
    1. A single sequence record index (e.g., 35 or 1122); or
    2. Two record indices separated by a hyphen (e.g., 5-10 or 200-300)
      [the first number must be smaller than the second number].
      Range tokens containing two numbers indicates an inclusive range
      of sequences (e.g., 5-10 indicates sequences # 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, and 10).
  • Lines containing range tokens must not start in column #1.

For example,

The above sequence print list contains the following sequences:

Sequences # 15 thru 20 inclusive from database A1 (i.e., A1-15, A1-16, A1-17, A1-18, A1-19, and A1-20)

and

Sequences # 105, 110, 111, 112, 113, 114, 115, 116, 117, 118, 119, 120, 122, and 125 from sequence database A2.
