How to - Add Dancers to a Rotation

To add a dancer to a rotation, the dancer must first be listed in the Dancer Table.

The Dancer Table can be accessed from the main menu via the 'Dancer Table' button, or from the Rotation Window via menu option 'File | Dancer Table'. Additionally, a subset of the Dancer Table (showing only those dancers not yet in the current rotation) can be accessed from the Rotation Window via toolbar option 'Add Dancers to Rotation'.

The easiest way to add dancers to a rotation:

  • Open a rotation.

  • Press the 'Add Dancers to Rotation' toolbar button.

  • Select one or more dancers from the Dancer Table, then press an Add to Rotation button:

  • If a dancer is not listed in the Dancer Table it is because
    1. the dancer is already in the current rotation; or
    2. the dancer does not yet have an entry in the Dancer Table.

    Press the 'Add Dancer(s) to Table' toolbar button:
    This invokes the following popup menu:

    • Dancer - opens the Dancer Table - Edit dialog box to enter all of the dancer's information.
       
    • Couple by Name - opens the Add Couple by Name dialog box to add a couple. The only fields that can be modified are: First and Last Names, Ok w/Single, Vaccinated, and Flags.
       
    • Couple by Number - opens the Add Couple by Number dialog box to enter a couple number (0 to 100000) and OK w/Single. After pressing OK, the program creates two dancers: 'Boy N' and 'Girl N', where N is the given couple number.
       
    • Several Couples by Number - opens the Add Several Couples by Number dialog box to enter a range of couple numbers and OK w/Single. After pressing OK, the program creates two dancers for each couple number, N, in the given range: 'Boy N' and 'Girl N'.
       
    • From Global Database - opens the Add from Global Database window to select dancers from the Global Database.

    After a dancers have been added, a prompt appears whether to add the newly added dancers to the current rotation.
