Scanner

A barcode scanner can be used with SQROT.

Dancers scan their barcode to change their status

  • Scanning a dancer barcode toggles their status between 'Ready' and 'Absent'. The operator can change the program behavior so that 'Sitout' is also included within the toggle values.
  • On a successful scan, the scanner beeps, and the program displays a temporary window indicating the result of the scan. In addition to text, the window is color-coded where green = ready, yellow = sitout, and red = absent. The dancer status is also updated in the grid displays.

Function barcodes can be used to change dancer attributes

  • Function codes that can be used to change a dancer's role, status, and other attributes.
  • Function codes can also be used to join or split couples.

Additional Notes:

  • To scan a barcode displayed on a mobile phone requires a 'Imaging' scanner, as opposed to a 'laser' scanner.
