Ceder Square Dance System (CSDS) ==> Music

Tempo change - minimizing the 'skip' #1
Also you said you could lead me to a source for using the tempo changer while playing the music, where it wouldn't make that skip.

When using CSDS to do tempo changes, the Winamp player is much smoother than the Microsoft Media Player.

To get the Winamp player installed and configured, do the following:

  1. Download and install Winamp if you haven't already done it. (e.g., go to http://www.winamp.com/).
  2. Download and install the chronotron plugin. The chronotron plugin can be found at (after you download it, run it)
  3. Start the Winamp program and do the following:
    1. From the Winamp menu, select Options | Preferences...
    2. Select DSP/Effect
    3. Select GMixon Chronotron Plugin
    4. Click the Configure button, and follow the prompts if any (i.e., click the OK button)
  4. Run CSDS
  5. Display the CSDS Music Player, go to the Player tab, and select WinAmp as the player
  6. Now go to the Controls tab. You should be able to change the tempo now. If you've correctly set the BPM field in the music database for the currently loaded music, you can see the new number of beats per minute as you change the tempo slider bar.
