Upgrade from web
In the 'Edit Music Database' section, there is a menu option to 'Upgrade Cue Sheets from Web'. How do I do this?
To download cue sheets, do the following:
- Goto the record database on our web site
(i.e., http://www.ceder.net/recorddb/view.php?action=ftt);
- click on the menu item entitled 'Download into CSDS';
- At this point, your browser should be displaying a list of
instructions. You might want to print it.
- Click on the link entitled 'Create a new window with a text file that can be imported into CSDS';
- At this point, a new browser window opens up, and should prompt you for where the file should be downloaded. Select a download location and click the 'OK' button;
- At this point, the browser downloads all cue sheets from the web. The cue sheet information is stored in a single file.
- Run CSDS, and, from the main menu, select 'Music | Edit Music Database'.
- From the 'Edit Music Database' menu, select 'Edit | Upgrade Cue Sheets from Web';
- For 'Source File', enter the file that your downloaded in step #5.
- For 'Destination Folder', select a folder in which to save the extracted cue sheets. I use C:\SQDATA\cuesheets. If the folder does not exist, the program may crash (I will fix this soon). You may first need to create the folder via the windows file explorer.
Note: this procedure creates cue sheets only for music that exists in your music database that matches with the 'Label' and 'Label #'.
