Notes:
-
Brace Thru is a sex-dependent call. After the Right Pull By,
each couple must consist of one Boy and one Girl.
Brace Thru can not be done if any Couple consists of same-sex dancers.
-
The U-Turn Back is done by turning toward each other.
This is important in case the caller adds a Roll.
-
Brace Thru is a variation of Right & Left Thru.
The Courtesy Turn action is either done normally (as a Couple),
or individually (i.e., U-Turn Back). Whether you do a Courtesy Turn
or U-Turn Back depends respectively on whether you are a Normal or
a Half-Sashayed Couple.
-
Brace Thru is useful for callers since it resolves
sex-problems within the square. After a Brace Thru,
everyone ends in normal Facing Couples (Boy on Left, Girl on Right).
-
In 2012, Callerlab renamed Half Breed Thru to Brace Thru.
-
Historical note: The original definition of Half Breed Thru had
a Pass Thru instead of a Right Pull By.
