From a 3 & 1 Line: |
From a Two-Faced Line: Note: From a Two-Faced Line, the dance action for Explode The Line is often
awkward. Many callers believe it is illegal, or avoid calling it from any
Line in which the Centers are facing opposite directions. |
Notes:
-
Explode The Line is the generalization of
Explode The Wave [Plus].
-
The most important thing to remember about Explode The Line
is "Centers Step Forward".
-
If an End and adjacent Center are facing the same direction,
the End should back up slightly before turning 1/4. Dancing
Explode this way is preferable because, upon completion of the call,
the Couples are not offset and no adjustment is required.
-
Be sure to adjust to Facing Couples before the Right Pull By.
Should you fail to do this, you may end offset after the Pull By.
The ending formation should be Back-to-Back Couples.
-
After Explode, everyone can Roll.
After Explode The Line, nobody can Roll.
