• Historically, the right hand was used for the Pull By during a Reverse Cross & Turn. However, many callers/dancers felt that this was wrong, since Reverse often means to do the Mirror Image of the call. Until recently (May 1996), the CALLERLAB definitions stated that dancers use the right hand. The current CALLERLAB definitions say to use the Left-hand. Früher war die Hand für das Pull By bei einem Reverse Cross & Turn die rechte Hand. Jedoch hatten viele Caller / Tänzer das Gefühl, das sei falsch, weil sie glaubten, daß Reverse bedeutet, man tanzt den Call spiegelbildlich. Bis vor kurzem (Mai 1996) legten die CALLERLAB Definitionen fest, daß die Tänzer die rechte Hand benutzen müssen. Die aktuellen CALLERLAB Definitions legen jetzt aber die linke Hand fest. Historiskt sett, har den hand som används för Pull By vid Reverse Cross & Turn varit höger hand. Emellertid har många caller/dansare känt att det är fel, eftersom de anser att Reverse betyder att göra Mirror Image (spegelbilden) av callet. Tills nyligen (maj 1996), har CALLERLAB definitionerna sagt att dansarna använder höger hand. De gällande CALLERLAB definitionerna säger använd vänster hand. Historicky se pro Pull By při figuře Reverse Cross & Turn používala pravá ruka, nicméně calleři i tanečníci cítili, že je to špatně, protože Reverse často znamená, že se dělá Mirror Image dané figury. Ještě donedávna (květen 1996) definice od CALLERLAB stále uváděla, že tanečníci používají pravou ruku. Současná definice už mluví o levé ruce.
• Dancers doing the diagonal Pull By often yell 'Bang!', pulling an imaginary gun from an imaginary holster, shooting the other diagonal dancer (as if in an Old West duel). This often results in many dancers dispensing with the Pull By altogether and simply doing a Jaywalk; they are too busy 'gunning each other down', their hands are occupied and they neglect to use them. Detta resulterar ofta i att många dansare inte bryr sig om att göra en Pull By och helt enkelt gör en Jaywalk; de är för upptagna med att 'skjuta på varandra', händerna är upptagna och de glömmer att att använda dem. Tanečníci, co dělají Pull By, často křiknou 'Bang!', vytáhnou z pouzdra pomyslnou zbraň a zastřelí tanečníka na diagonále (jako při westernovém duelu). To často způsobí, že pak místo Pull By udělají jednoduše Jaywalk, protože mají ruce zaneprázdněné střílením.
