Website  -->  Definitions

Do German versions for shape-changing (C1 book appendix A).

Write short defs (Old calls db) for all items in Winchester DB.

Test all definition pages for hyperlink problems in which a space is missing before or after the link. When done, re-do the 'text only' definitions. IP: Start at Crazy [C2].

Make all definitions use TableBegin() routines. IP

Finish Danish definitions

Have a way to sort/list calls by YEAR written.

Shape Changing page: clicking on ALL LANGUAGES gives Eval error.

Link the Authors (with a static link). Maybe call a function such as 'DefCaller('Vic Ceder',1)' to do it.

Some files crash with eval() error. E.g., Butterfly. (for language=all?)

Look at comments from C3A and C3B voting and add notes to appropriate definitions. E.g., Two-Faced: explain why we need it.

The subcall header could be generated via a macro. The subcall author should be a CSS class.

Go thru all, adding Authors to subcalls, adding links to subcalls.

Post Kip Garvey's comments on Crossfire.

Create definition for Substitute

Add a 'Find by Author'

Tagging calls: Add Dixie Tag?

Uncouple (see RecordId=http://www.ceder.net/recorddb/viewsingle.php?RecordId=5820)

Derby. You have Ends Run. Both Sue and Bill have Ends Fold and step ahead making. I guess there will be a difference if you call Derby and Roll. The sd program does not have Ends Roll.

def/index_c4.php -- make it automatically generated.

def.php: put the links on this page into the Links database.

Trans anything: First Two (in Columns) Transfer And; Others normalize (in this case Circulate) then Cast Off 3/4. In this case, the ending position for 'Trans' is a Starting DPT.

http://www.ceder.net/def Even further up on this same page we list a link to Callerlab's programs, and Callerlab now has "permalinks" to their programs that are more appropriate. For Mainstream definitions it is: http://www.callerlab.org/Default.aspx?tabid=610&id=7 For Plus it is: http://www.callerlab.org/Default.aspx?tabid=610&id=12 For Advanced it is: http://www.callerlab.org/Default.aspx?tabid=610&id=15 For C1 it is: http://www.callerlab.org/Default.aspx?tabid=610&id=22 For C2 it is: http://www.callerlab.org/Default.aspx?tabid=610&id=23 For C3A it is: http://www.callerlab.org/Default.aspx?tabid=610&id=24

entry = {anything} Coordinate | Motivate | Percolate | Perk Up Message = Suggestion: Add cross references (in one or both directions) between your definitions for: {anything} Coordinate|Motivate|Percolate|Perk Up and Stimulate (and its accompanying definition of {anything} Stimulate) Perhaps there are other such cross references that could be added, but I can't think of any up to C3B (which is all I dance).

Allow for look-up of Crossfire as one word.

Download CSDS parse database and use it somehow so that when someone searches on 'crossfire' or 'cross fire', it matches the correct entries.

Old calls | Find by Author: should also list the DEF2 items.

Def2 stuff: 1) Display ALL translator names at bottom. 2) Add stuff for sub-calls.

Squeeze does not have a starting formation. The Danish translation of "From any appropriate 2-dancer position." is "Fra enhver anvendelig 2-danser position."

The Danish translation of "see also" is "Se også " .

Caption in the figure for Single Wheel 3 times: The German word for "3 times" is "dreimal".

http://www.ceder.net/def/viewsubcall.php?Def2Id=630 Single Stretch C is bold, ONCEPT is not Are you trying to have all CONCEPT calls put CONCEPT in CAPS, or not? You don't seem to be consistent. See: http://www.ceder.net/def/viewsubcall.php?Def2Id=319 http://www.ceder.net/def/viewsubcall.php?Def2Id=332 http://www.ceder.net/def/viewsubcall.php?Def2Id=320 http://www.ceder.net/def/viewsubcall.php?Def2Id=33

oldcalls/csds_def_update.php to return TLM=. There is NO TLM field! Add a ModDateTime field instead.

DefDb to return a handle LIST, not a single handle. Then modify CSDS | Data Grab accordingly.

Here: http://www.ceder.net/def/hints.php under Studying Hints we have links to Callerlab definitions (which still works) and to the Big Five and Galburt's Glossary (neither of which still work). We should probably modify this page somewhat.

http://www.ceder.net/def/index_def.php?level=c2 ...seems to be missing Press In/Out/Right/Left.

entry = {anything} The "K" Message = I tried to find this call on the fly using the find function - but I didn't think to put the quote marks around the K, so I didn't get your definition, although I did get Callerlab, Jay King, etc. Eventually I went into the C2 definitions and found it. I can envision several solutions to this problem but leave it to you to fix or not as you see fit!

entry = missing: Single Cross Chain Thru (referenced at ceder.net/def/single.php) Message = Single Cross Chain Thru: From an Single Eight Chain Thru (or Mini-Wave Box). Right Pull By; Outsides Left-Face U-Turn Back as Centers L-H Star (of 2) 1/2 to face the Outside. Ends in an Single Eight Chain Thru. ?

Comments = https://www.ceder.net/def/disconnected.php In the notes: find: (see the second example below) replace: (see the third example below)

entry = generous / stingy definition Message = Vic, this is the thing that you were trying to remember in Portland. It is has not been corrected. Should read "hence, from tandem couples, a generous hinge the lock..... Chuck Parrish From Tandem Couples, a Hinge is a Partner Hinge (from a Couple), and Generous does not apply. However, the Centers part of Lockit is an Arm Turn 1/4. Hence, from Tandem Couples, a Generous Lock The Hinge is a Partner Hinge followed by a Centers Arm Turn 1/2 as the Ends move up 1/4, to end in a Facing Diamond. Name = Chuck Parrish entry = Stingy concept definition Message = From Tandem Couples, a Hinge is a Partner Hinge (from a Couple), and Generous does not apply. Hey there, the above should read "from Tandem Couples, a Generous Hinge the Lock is....." Do I win a prize?

entry = Dixie Style to an Ocean Wave / Dixie Style to a Wave Message = This call is missing from the all-level list of calls on your website. It's on the basic/MS list, but not on the all-level list.

Just for your information if you haven't seen it. You have Sue's C3X definitions linked from dosado.com. Dosado.com have taken those definitions away so there is no place where you can find them.
