two columns

OPENER - MIDDLE BREAK - CLOSER    Basic

All four ladies chain about 3/4
You turn and chain them straight across that ring.
Put the ladies back to back, boys promenade half way,
Turn your corner left, full turn, and a right and left grand
Grand right and left until you meet your darling,
Dosado and promenade her home,
*Tell all my friends the news, put on their dancing shoes,
Why, there's gonna be a shindig in the barn.

(Closer)
*Well I can hardly wait, till we roll up to the gate,
'Cause there's gonna be a shindig in the barn.

FIGURE    Basic - SSD Week 8, corner progression

Now 1 and 3 (2 and 4) go forward up and back now
Square thru, go walking round the ring,
Swing thru the outside two, boys run you do,
Couples circulate, and then, wheel and deal,
Dive thru, pass thru, and swing the corner,
Left allemande, come back and promenade
*If the boys will lend a hand, we'll clean it spick and span,
Why there's gonna be a shindig in the barn.

TAG

A hand-clappin, foot stompin, partner swinging, punch drinking,
Regular old shindig in the barn.
