two columns

OPENER - MIDDLE BREAK - CLOSER

Heads bow down and face to the right, circle four you know
Full around corners, whirlaway, for an old time docey-do*
Partner left and opposite right, it's regular old time pickin'
Roll promenade your lady son, here's what you feed that chicken
Penny candy, she eats that messy kind
Swing and feed her candy
'N she'll love you all the time

FIGURE    Basic, corner progression

Sashay round that corner girl, turn a right hand round your baby
Gents star left int he middle of the ring
One time I don't mean maybe
Take your girl with an arm around, star promenade you know
Boys back out put the ladies in, the other way round the ring go
Back right out and make a ring, circle to the left
Break the ring with a corner swing, you've got a brand new pet
Allemande left new corner maid, grand right & left a dandy
Go right and left till you meet your maid
Promenade and feed her candy
Penny Candy, she eats that messy kind
Swing and feed her candy
'N she'll love you all the time

TAG

Swing and feed her candy
'N she'll love you all the time

(*Old time docey-do, or Colorado style do-si-do, originated by Lloyd Shaw.
This figure is done with two couples only, from a circle of four. Gents roll
your corner across in front of you like a half sashay, this puts your original
partner in front of you, take her by the left and finish the figure like a
do-paso making certain to finish up with your original partner in home position.)
