two columns

OPENER - MIDDLE BREAK - CLOSER    Basic - SSD Week 4

Circle to the left, you're doing swell
8 to the middle with a great big yell
Back right out and clap your hands
Circle to the left go around the land
Allemande left that corner maid, come back one and promenade
Get on home with a zig and a zag
Sides face, grand square rag, (listen to the band play)
One foot, two foot, slew foot rag
Shuffle your feet to the Sugarfoot Rag

Swing your honey with a zig and a zag
While the guitar picks out the Sugarfoot Rag

FIGURE    Basic, corner progression

1 & 3 (2 & 4) you'll promenade 1/2 way round the ring I say
Right & left thru across the land, turn that girl with your left hand
Square thru & sides clap hands, count 4 hands to the rhythm of the band
Make a right hand star & turn it then, move that star we're going again
Heads star left in the middle of the ring, go once around while you hear me sing
Swing that corner round and round
Allemande left when you come down
Promenade and don't you drag, go full around to the Sugarfoot Rag
Dig a little jig with a zig and a zag
While the guitar picks out the Sugarfoot Rag
