two columns

OPENER - CLOSER    Basic - SSD Week 1

Circle left
*My grandfather's clock was too large for the shelf
So it stood 90 years on the floor

Allemande left that corner, come back and dosado
Allemande that corner, weave the ring
**It was bought on the morn of the day that he was born
Swing your girl around and promenade
But it stopped short, never to go again
When the old man died.

FIGURE    Basic, corner progression

Head two couples promenade, halfway around
Go down the middle, pass the ocean there, extend
Swing thru and then girls run around the men
Wheel and deal around, do a dosado
Square thru 1, allemande left your partner
Come back, swing your corner, promenade
But it stopped short, never to go again
When the old man died

MIDDLE BREAK    Basic - SSD Week 4

Sides face grand square
90 years without slumbering
His life's seconds numbering
But it stopped short, never to go again
When the old man died

Allemande and weave
It was bought on the morn of the day that he was born
Swing your girl around and promenade
But it stopped short, never to go again
When the old man died

*In watching the pendulum swing to and fro
Many years he had spent as a boy

**And it kept in its place not a smile upon its face

TAG

Swing
It stopped short, never to go again
When the old man died

Wording is strange within the figure. "Square thru 1, allemande left your partner" should be "Right pull by, turn partner left" since technically, after an allemande left, you end back to back, men facing counter clockwise, woman facing clockwise.
