Sleepin' at the Foot of the Bed

OPENER    Basic - SSD Week 1

Circle left
Did you ever sleep at the foot of the bed
When the weather was wet and cold
And the wind was whistlin' around the house
And the moon was yellow as gold

Allemande left that corner lady, come back and dosado
All four boys star by the left, once around you go
Turn your partner by the right, and the corner allemande
Come back and swing your lady round, promenade the town
We had biscuits and chicken pie and we all got Sunday fed
But I knew darn well when nighttime came
I was headed for the foot of the bed

FIGURE    Basic, corner progression

Head two couples promenade, go halfway around
Down the middle, pass the ocean, everyone extend
Swing thru, two by two, let all the boys run right
Ferris wheel, walk right in to the middle of the ring tonight
In the middle do a dosado, once and a half around
Swing that corner lady there, promenade the town
I could wear worn out clothes, let sister have the sled
But it always got my nanny goat
To sleep at the foot of the bed

MIDDLE BREAK - CLOSER

All four ladies promenade 3/4 round that ring
Turn that girl and roll away, circle left around
All four ladies roll away, circle left and then
Allemande left that corner girl, weave around that ring
Wind it in and out around, meet your lady there
Swing that lady round and round, promenade that square
We had biscuits and chicken pie and we all got Sunday fed
But it always got my nanny goat
To sleep at the foot of the bed

TAG

Yeah, it always got my nanny goat
To sleep at the foot of the bed
